These Hogwarts Legacy sites show parts of the school that were never in the Harry Potter films.
As most players know, Hogwarts Legacy is different from the Harry Potter books and movies because it takes place 100 years before those stories. Many players first looked for the famous and well-known places in the game, but the world also had a lot of new, never-before-seen places that added to the wealth and history of the Hogwarts universe in their own ways.
From secret rooms to whole villages, Warner Bros. Games added a lot of new and interesting places for fans of the series, both new and old, to explore and learn more about the history and mythology of Hogwarts and the area around it.
Irondale
The small town of Irondale might not seem like much at first glance, but it has a long and interesting past. The first people to live there were goblins who worked in the iron mines. Later, wizards moved in because they saw the promise of the ironworks and drove the goblins out. The new people who moved in changed the name from “Gobbledegook” to “Irondale” to honour the nearby mines and ironworks.
Now, there isn’t much left of the goblins who built the town, and witches and wizards are the only ones who live there. The tasks “A Thief in the Night” and “E-vase-ive Manoeuvre” must be done in Irondale.
Ravenclaw Common Room
One of the most awaited parts of Hogwarts Legacy was the addition of common rooms, which let players get into the traditions and style of their chosen House. Some people chose their house based on this, since each common room had its own paintings, furniture, and stories about each item.
The Ravenclaw room, with its beautiful windows and blue drapes, might be the most amazing. It’s easy to imagine hundreds of students going through each room over the years and learning different kinds of magic along the way.
Deathday Party Room
Almost without heads Nick’s Deathday Party was a scene in the Harry Potter books that was left out of the films, possibly because it was a bit more sad. According to the story, a wizard named Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington was cut in half because the executioner used a dull axe. After that, Sir Nicholas’s ghost would come back every year for 500 years to mark the day he died.
By going down into the Slytherin Dungeons, players can reach this place. Inside, players can find the ghosts of people who were at the party, such as members of the Headless Hunt, an organisation whose members are known for being beheaded.
Zonko’s Joke Shop
In the Harry Potter films, Zonko’s Joke Shop is mentioned, but it is never shown and the characters never go there or look inside. In Hogwarts: Legacy, players can do this for themselves and answer any questions they may have about this much less serious place. The shop was said to be the favourite of any student who went to Hogsmeade. Bilton Bilmes would eventually buy it, but the events of Hogwarts Legacy happened before this.
This isn’t the first time Zonko’s Joke Shop has been in a video game. It was also in Harry Potter: Hogwarts Mystery, Harry Potter: Puzzles and Spells, and Harry Potter: Awakened Magic.
Hogwarts Kitchen
Fans of both the movies and the video game series may have thought where and how so much food (especially with such out-of-this-world ingredients) could be made for all the students at Hogwarts every meal. In Hogwarts: Legacy, players were given an answer when a secret cooking room was added. Inside, players will find elves making food and a kitchen full of complicated systems and things.
To get to the kitchen, players must find the picture of overflowing fruits near the Hufflepuff Common Room and use the Revelio spell to show the hidden passageway. The green pear that is brighter will light up like a key, letting the player go through to the other side.
Dark Arts Arena
It’s not too strange that this gladiator pit wasn’t in Harry Potter’s story, since it’s the exact opposite of everything Hogwarts teaches its students. This place is in The illegal Forest, and it seems like it was made for practising dark and illegal magic. This lets players fight waves of enemies and try out magic and curses like Crucio, Confringo, Imperio, and the Blasting and Unforgivable Curses.
This place, on the other hand, is only accessible to players who have bought the Dark Arts DLC, making it an even more exclusive spot. Even though it doesn’t have as much story as other places, it makes Geometry Dash Subzero game a bit more interesting and lively.
Feldcroft
Feldcroft is a small wizarding village south of Hogwarts Castle. It is home to a number of important families, such as the Rookwoods, Sallows, Morganachs, and Ndiayes. The town has a long and interesting past that goes back to 993 AD. Several battles were fought around Rookwood Castle and the ancient Feldcroft Catacomb, which was built underneath it.
With a past full of controversy, mystery, murder, cover-ups, and fights over ancient relics, this small village has a lot to discover, and Hogwarts Legacy gives players the chance to do so to the fullest.
Room Of Admittance
The Room of Admittance and the Quill of Acceptance that lives in it hold a record of every student who has ever gone to Hogwarts. It is one of the most important places in Hogwarts Castle. This room, with its impressive gargoyles and stacks of ledgers, books, and texts, is a good place to go if a player wants to know where the Quill might go once it is full.
The Book of Admittance sits in the middle of the room on a small mantle. It hasn’t been touched by a human hand since the four founders put it there, but its pages move around as the Quill dances above it when players come close.
You can play Hogwarts Legacy on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S right now. New games for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One are on the way.
