When Colleen Hoover became the first author to regularly place first on the USA TODAY Best-Selling Books list in 2022, she created literary history. Although other authors’ works had been on the best-seller list for a few weeks, none have been able to equal Hoover’s sales of 15 volumes in a single week this summer. Three of her books are among the top three best-sellers of the year: Verity, It Ends With Us, and Reminders of Him.
Five of the top ten best-selling books this year were written by Hoover. Over the ten years before, she went from being a fledgling self-publisher to a well-known star. She doesn’t appear to be easing down either. The sequel to Hoover’s best-selling book “It Finishes With Us,” “It Begins With Us,” will be released on October 18.
The Creator Do You Know’s Reminders of Him?
Who is Colleen Hoover, exactly?
Colleen Hoover, 42, lives in a quiet neighbourhood in east Texas not far from Sulphur Springs. She briefly worked as a social worker before beginning her position as a counsellor at WIC, a nutrition programme for women, children, and babies. While a WIC student, Hoover began writing. She frequently used a laptop that she had snatched from her mother to write while one of her boys was at a play rehearsal. Shortly after giving the book to her mother as a Christmas present, she self-published it so that she could also give it to her friends and family.
After being released in 2012, her first book, “Slammed,” quickly shot to the top of USA TODAY’s bestseller list. She has written 22 books, three short stories, and two pieces for collections.
Which literary subgenres does Colleen Hoover write in?
Hoover’s works cover the young adult and new adult subgenres. The topics shift frequently. For instance, the “Hopeless” and “Slammed” collections were influenced by Hoover’s social work background as well as her interest in slam poetry. However, Hoover has developed a wide variety of book classifications. The book “Layla,” whose title character escapes a potentially fatal attack before strange things start to happen all around her, was inspired by her interest in the paranormal. Hoover has written love stories that deal with loss and mental illness and take unexpected turns, in addition to romantic thrillers.
How did Colleen Hoover’s creations become well-known?
Since she first appeared on the USA TODAY list, Hoover has consistently published blockbusters, but her popularity has considerably grown in the last two years. Her remarkable sales increase can partly be credited to her sizable TikTok following, especially in the #booktok community. According to Publishers Weekly, Hoover’s 2016 book “It Ends With Us” quickly rose to the top of the 2020 bestseller lists. There were fifteen Hoover titles on this week’s chart, and “It Ends With Us” came in second overall. The book previously achieved its highest point while occupying the top spot for a total of 76 weeks. Her most recent book, Reminders of Him, was published in January and debuted at the top of the bestseller list.

Reminders of Him Review
Reminders of Him, one of the best romance novels of 2022 and one of the best Colleen Hoover books, stunned me and proved me wrong just when I believed Colleen Hoover couldn’t write another amazing book. I have mental capacity.
My expectations for a fantastic Colleen Hoover novel are high because I’ve read It Ends With Us and It Begins With Us before reading her reminders.
The author continues to break my heart with her words, characters, and storylines, and after reading Notes to Her I was even more pleased.
