There appears to be no stopping the expansion of the Panera Bread chain. Which now boasts over 2,000 bakery-cafe locations across the United States.
Panera Bread is a popular fast food restaurant because it serves nutritious meals. Sandwiches, soups, warm bowls, baked goods, and even pizzas are all on the menu at Panera. But one of my favorite things to get at Panera is a salad because they aren’t boring or tasteless like other salad places.
There’s no way to go wrong with their salads. Which are bursting with vibrant flavors and fresh ingredients. They’re much better for you than the burgers and fries sold by other fast food restaurants.

Green Goddess Cobb Salad With Chicken
Due to its hearty ingredients. Panera’s Green Goddess Cobb Salad with Chicken is one of the best. Antibiotic-free chicken is mixed with kale, arugula, red leaves, red onions, and grape tomatoes for a super-healthy green and red base.
Applewood-smoked bacon and avocados make this salad taste better. Cobb salads need hard-boiled eggs, and it’s nice to know that these are cage-free.
Panera Caesar Salad With Chicken
We all know Panera’s Caesar Salad with Chicken—romaine, chicken, parmesan, and Caesar dressing. The homemade black pepper focaccia croutons and antibiotic-free chicken make this caesar salad unique.
Croutons in salads seem like unnecessary filler to me. caesar salad stars them. They’re crunchy and flavorful. So I don’t use too much caesar dressing.
BBQ Chicken Salad
Panera BBQ Chicken Salad is delicious and hard to find. Corn salsa and black beans sweeten and texture romaine lettuce. Chicken and onions give it a hearty, filling taste.
Unsurprisingly, the best part of this salad is the tangy, zesty apple cider vinegar BBQ sauce. It takes you to your favorite southern BBQ joint without ruining your diet. This lunch salad is safe but not boring.
Panera Asian Sesame Salad With Chicken
Asian Sesame Salad with Chicken is nuttier. Toasted almonds and sesame seeds make this dish heart-healthy. Cilantro, wonton strips, and a delicious Asian sesame vinaigrette give it an Asian flavor. The best part is that Panera’s salads come with antibiotic-free chicken and a free French baguette!
Southwest Chile Lime Ranch Salad With Chicken
Panera has other salads with black beans and corn like the BBQ Chicken salad. The Southwest Chile Lime Ranch Salad with Chicken is popular due to its bean and corn salsa, fresh cilantro, feta, and avocado.
Panera adds feta cheese to this salad instead of cheddar or pepper jack, a welcome surprise!
Arugula gives this Southwest-inspired salad a nice peppery taste. Naturally, the Chili-lime Roja Ranch Dressing adds a creamy, delicious finish.
Panera Greek Salad
Feta cheese, black olives, and Greek dressing make Greek Salad one of the healthiest and lightest. This Greek-inspired salad has grape tomatoes, red onions, black olives, and feta cheese. The romaine bed ties all of these robust flavors together. But green bell peppers would be more authentically “Greek.” Pepperonici, a tasty golden Greek pepper like banana peppers, makes up for the lack of bell pepper.
Fuji Apple Salad With Chicken
Panera’s Fuji Apple Salad with Chicken has special apples. As its name suggests, it contains Fuji apples, a popular variety known for their sweetness and texture. I don’t mind chipped apples. Apple chips give the salad a crunch without too much moisture.
This salad’s star is Gorgonzola cheese. This cheese with apple flavor is irresistible! Red onions, pecans, and grape tomatoes add depth of flavor and texture. Finally, I like how the white balsamic apple vinaigrette adds apple flavor if the chips don’t.
Panera Strawberry Poppyseed Salad With Chicken
If you’re sad about the apple salad because you prefer natural fruit. You’re in luck. Panera’s Strawberry Poppyseed Salad with Chicken is sweet, fruity, and colorful with real strawberries, fresh blueberries, citrusy mandarin oranges, and tangy pineapple.
Romaine lettuce covers this fruit. I love the crunchy pecans and poppyseed dressing that blends fruity and nutty flavors.
Citrus Asian Crunch Salad With Chicken
If you prefer citrus over sesame seeds and wonton strips. Try the Citrus Asian Crunch Salad with Chicken. Carrots, edamame, and pickled red onions are new salad toppings. The tangerine soy-ginger dressing gives the salad a kick. While the teriyaki sauce adds sweetness.
This Panera salad has seared chicken thigh instead of chicken breast, which is nice. These strong ingredients may outshine chicken breast. I love that this salad is on a “Power Vegetable Blend” rather than standard greens.
